DB was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. He is a product of the Reagan Era, the emergence of the crack era, and mass incarceration that decimated the family structure in urban communities. Substance abuse and domestic violence were the norm in his home and forced him out of his mother’s care. He was sent to live with his great grandmother who instilled a set of values and principles into DB’s life, the most important being spirituality. 

However anxiety, anger, and depression among so many other emotions drove DB down a road of self destruction. A lack of self esteem, self worth, and identity caused him to go out into the street to find affirmation. Consequently, he made some catastrophic mistakes and missed out on what God had in store for him time after time. 

At age 19, DB was expelled from High School, fathered two daughters, and was knee deep into a life filled with crime. By the age of 23 he was arrested and convicted of firearm charges and a bevy of other charges and violations. 

Just before his 25th birthday, he was released back into society more confused as to who he really was. DB always knew he was different, talented, gifted, and anointed to do something special. For 14 more years he searched to find his true identity. 

In October 2021, he grew tired of being sick and tired and finally submitted to the values and principles he was raised with. The biggest and most important being God and spirituality. Through prayer, meditation, scripture, and most of all faith, DB was able to transform his mind, heart, and spirit. 

 Within less than a year, through a growing faith and constant self-affirmation, DB became an Amazon Best-Selling Author, he’s spoken on several platforms such as Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire Tv, YouTube and Clubhouse. 

DB is dedicated to changing the world one person at a time, by helping them live a God-Centered life through Servanthood and Discipleship.
